Strength Over Cardio for Real Results

Forget the eternal myth that cardio is the only way to burn calories or fat. While cardio is important, strength training is crucial for longevity and overall health for men and women over 30. Research shows that strength and muscle mass are better indicators of long-term health than cardio alone.  Our 45-minute sessions focus on building muscle and strength with a splash of cardio.

The Seven Key Movement Patterns

We focus on seven key movements: squat, hinge, pull, press, rotation, carry, and laterals. In our experience, most fitness programs and trainers out there do a pretty good job of including at least four of these patterns, but we include them all.  They’re that important! 

Strengthening and mobilizing these patterns help you move better, feel stronger, and reduce the risk of “stupid” injuries (you know what I mean- have you ever reached over to the side to pick up a small object from the floor and get a kink in your back?), especially as you get older- perfect for your daily activities and favorite sports.
